Fish Health Seminar-Saturday, May12, 10am

At the Fish Health Seminar we will discuss preventative measures, diagnosis, and treatments for common fish ailments. Learn how to keep your fish healthy with simple maintenance techniques and monitor their health throughout the growing season! Also learn what is normal behavior and appearance of different breeds of fish. We will look at specific examples of different diseases and how to identify them as well as how to treat them. Many common fish ailments can be prevented and easily treated to ensure that your fish live long healthy lives.

Spring Clean-Up-Saturday, April 28, 10am

The Spring Clean-up seminar will cover all of the basics that you need to start your pond off right this spring. We will discuss preventative measures for algae, as well as treatments to control existing algae. We will also cover topics such as cleaning your pond out, the uses of barley, the effectiveness of good bacteria, proper filtration, and spring fish conditioning.

Container Water Garden Day-Saturday, June 9, 10am

Come build your very own container water garden! Choose a container large or small and we will provide all the rest of the materials for the project. All you have to do is bring your container, receive a discount on your plants, and let us help you build a beautiful water garden. All of the gravel, stone, and other materials will be provided free of charge. Join in this fun day as everyone lets their imaginations run wild. Be as creative as you can in choosing your container! Anything that holds water can become a water garden!

Women in the Outdoors Day-Saturday, June 23

The Wilhem Chapter of the Women in the Outdoors is holding their annual event at the Lake Edinboro Sportmen’s Club. Hilltop Hatcheries will be there giving a class on water gardening and building container water gardens. Some of the other classes offered include archery, rifle, shotgunning, kayaking, canoeing, outdoor cooking, horseback riding, and much more.
